2/23/2023 0 Comments Unity asset bundle 1![]() Let’s first understand what are Asset Bundles and what are the functionalities and use cases of Asset Bundles and then we will be learning how to create Asset Bundles in Unity. Through this blog, I will be sharing how we can create Asset Bundles for Android and iOS. ![]() I was really excited to deep dive into this and figure out how it works, and well it was a rollercoaster ride filled with its ups and downs but in the end, the journey was amazing and fruitful in all essence. It was an amazing experience and I was blown away by the possibilities it brings to the table for the developers who are building any game or app. This is the first time I was introduced to this term and I have no idea as to how to create AssetBundles and integrate them with the server. Recently, I got the chance to work on AssetBundles in Unity. When I build my assets bundles from the GUI, the path I'm using is "AssetBundles/iOS".I am an AR Evangelist and have been exploring this field for quite some time. Do I have to register them one by one in that script ? Or is there a way to "mark" every bundle starting with "foo/" as ODR ? (Is there a GUI ?) ![]() Plus, I have a lot of bundle similar to "foo/bar" (let's say 50). How do i do to tell Unity that this bundle should be a On Demand Resource ? I didn't found the documentation of "" object, and I'm a bit confused about the path I should give.įor exemple, I have a bundle named "foo/bar", which is composed of 3 scenes : "foo_level1", "foo_level2", and "foo_level3", let's say that theses scenes are located in a folder named "Assets/Foo/Scenes". So I need to create a script BuildiOSAssetBundles to tell Unity which Asset Bundle I want to use as ODR.īut I'm confuse by this line : new ( "bundle", "Assets/Bundles/bundle.unit圓d" ).AddOnDemandResourceTags("bundle"), I already use Asset Bundle, but I'd want some of them to be On Demand Resource.Īnd there is things that I'm not sure to understand. ![]() I'm currently looking to implement On Demand Resource on my project. ![]()
